DOREDU expands access to affordable, practical, and culturally adapted education for underserved communities across the United States — equipping immigrants, refugees, and people facing barriers with the skills, civic understanding, and opportunity to build self-sufficient lives.
Across the United States, millions of people arrive ready to work and eager to contribute — yet face overlapping barriers that conventional education was never designed to remove. Language, cost, unfamiliar systems, and rigid schedules quietly decide who gets ahead and who gets left behind.
DOREDU exists to dismantle those barriers. We deliver education that is affordable, practical, and culturally adapted — the kind that translates directly into a job, a license, a bank account, and the confidence to build a self-sufficient life. Not theory for its own sake, but skills that change a family's trajectory.
What we stand for

The barriers we address are not local — they exist in every city where people are starting over. From day one, DOREDU is designed as national infrastructure: programs, curricula, and partnerships that can be replicated wherever they are needed, so impact compounds rather than stops at a city line.

Our story
DOREDU was founded in 2024 by Junior Ceranor Nelson out of a conviction shaped by lived experience: that talent is universal, but access is not. Time and again, capable people were held back not by ability or effort, but by systems that never accounted for where they came from.
We began in Everett, Massachusetts — one of the most diverse, hardworking, and underserved communities in the Greater Boston region — listening closely to immigrants and families about what actually stood between them and stability. The answer was rarely motivation. It was access to the right education, delivered in a way that fit their lives.
That is the organization we are building: practical programs, honest measurement, and deep community partnership — a model proven locally and designed to scale responsibly across the United States.

Founder & Executive Director
Junior founded DOREDU to turn his own community's lived experience into a national platform for opportunity. He leads strategy, partnerships, and the organization's commitment to dignity-first education.
Director of Programs
Leads curriculum, instruction, and learner outcomes across all DOREDU programs, ensuring every offering is practical, measurable, and culturally responsive.
Director of Partnerships
Builds the network of schools, employers, cities, and funders that extends DOREDU's reach and connects learners to what comes next.
Lead Community Navigator
Guides newcomers through their first year, coordinating access to services and warm introductions into DOREDU programs.
Lead English & Digital Skills Instructor
Daniel has taught English and computer basics to adult newcomers for over a decade. His classes are patient, practical, and full of real-life practice.
Civics & Citizenship Instructor
Marie guides learners through the naturalization journey — the civics test, the interview, and the confidence to walk in prepared.
Community Life & Workforce Educator
Grace teaches the unwritten rules — neighborhoods, workplaces, budgets, and how to turn a first job into a career.
Bible Study Leader
Pastor James leads DOREDU's open, welcoming Bible study — a place of rest, reflection, and community for anyone who wants it.
Tutor & Curriculum Curator
DOREDU's founder personally selected and curated every lesson in this course, drawing on years of walking alongside newcomers as they build a confident life in the United States.
