Built for everyone

Accessibility at DOREDU

Access is our entire mission — and that includes this website. We're committed to making it usable and welcoming for everyone, regardless of ability, device, or how you get online.

We want every person who comes to Doredu to be able to find what they need, apply to a program, and connect with our team without barriers. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing practice rather than a one-time checklist.

What we've done

Accessibility built into the foundation

These are some of the practices we follow as we design and build every page of this site.

Semantic, structured HTML

Pages are built with meaningful headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate content in a logical order.

Full keyboard navigation

Every interactive element — links, buttons, menus, and forms — can be reached and operated without a mouse.

Clear focus states

Visible focus indicators make it easy to see where you are on the page as you tab through it.

Readable color contrast

We design text and interface colors to meet AA contrast ratios so content stays legible for low-vision users.

Respect for reduced motion

If your device requests reduced motion, our animations soften or switch off automatically.

Descriptive alt text

Meaningful images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.

Helpful labels & ARIA

Form fields are clearly labeled and icon-only controls include accessible names, with ARIA used to fill gaps where needed.

We're listening

Found something that doesn't work for you?

We know we won't get everything right, and we genuinely want to hear from you. If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology — or if a page, document, or form gets in your way — please tell us. Let us know the page you were on and what happened, and we'll work to fix it and help you get what you need in the meantime.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback promptly and to prioritize fixes that remove real barriers.

An ongoing commitment

We're always improving

Accessibility is never finished. As we add programs, publish new content, and grow into new communities, we keep reviewing and improving the experience — and your feedback is one of the most valuable tools we have for getting it right. Thank you for helping us keep DOREDU open to everyone.
