When she arrived in Everett, she spoke little English and had never used a computer for work. Within a year, she completed DOREDU's English for Daily Life and Digital Literacy programs, earned a certification through Workforce & Vocational Readiness, and started a full-time job with one of our employer partners.
Today, she volunteers as a peer mentor in the same classroom where she started.
"I did not just learn English. I learned that I could build a life here."
